Within each powerfully difficult experience there is a powerful opportunity to surrender.

For most of my life I have lived with pets and each of them captured my heart like no other. Although many of them have lived very long lives, there has been tragedy and loss due to illness and even when the years were long, it never seemed long enough.

Knowing that the gifts between us continued long after they had gone did not diminish the profound quality of sadness and sorrow that I felt to the depth of my core. As I experienced the beginning stages of each loss I was asked by my teacher to go deeply into the pain so that I may experience it fully, honour it, and BE in it. I made a conscious decision to use the loving I had experienced with them to perpetuate the evolution of my soul rather than to shrink back from the powerful feelings.

The lesson learned was the willingness to hold a deep space for myself with a level of sadness I would have otherwise avoided. Because I was willing, I grew from the experience, and I became stronger and more connected to my Heart's Inner Wisdom.

For most of us, experiencing loss at this level of attachment is excruciating. The unconditional love offered by our pets matches no other than perhaps, if we are blessed, a nurturing and caring parent or partner. Their presence in our lives sustains us through the ebb and flow of life, through the roughest of tides and most certainly shows us what Immaculate Joy and Divine Light actually looks like with four legs and a furry coat. They are irreplaceable, unforgettable, and powerful healers in our lives.

They too have a Divine Path, experiences to grow and deepen from and choices to make about their evolutionary journey. And as difficult as it is, they sometimes choose to go on without us, leaving us behind with a gaping hole in our lives, in our hearts and in our homes.

And so my loving heart goes out now to all who have lost or are losing their beloved and cherished pet.

I wish for you to know that I am here to be of service, to be a guiding light in the darkness of fear, of sorrow, and confusion.

I will hold a strong and loving space for you to go into your heart so that you may heal and grow from your loving experience together.

I will direct you to a place of awareness, to lead you from your heartache and onto the Path to Peace.
